Begin your journey into the beautiful art of traditional wheel spinning. Learn wheel mechanics, fiber, preparation of fiber and the basics to get started creating yarn for your pleasure. We will learn and practice with the cadence of our wheels and talk a bit about ratio. We will spin from prepared roving, which is all local from Thirteen Mile Ranch in Bozeman. We will briefly discuss drum cards, hand cards, combs, and if time allows play with carding board; however, the emphasis should be on you spinning. |
