the Guild
Connecting fiber artists in the greater Gallatin Valley since 1968
The Bozeman Weavers Guild, or BWG, has a long history of connections to fiber artists in the greater Gallatin Valley, having started formally as a Guild in 1968. The purpose and mission of the Guild is to foster a knowledge and appreciation for handweaving and fiber arts through shared efforts, outreach and community awareness. The current members reflect
interests in weaving, spinning and other fiber arts.
The guild’s organizational structure, underlying rules and committee structure, and bylaws support our mission.
Please visit our Events page for a list of upcoming events. We welcome you to join us!
Our monthly newsletter, the Back Beam, can be accessed under the members’ area (coming soon). The BWG maintains a library of textile books and periodicals that can be loaned out to members and a selection of looms and other equipment also available on a limited-time loan to its members (library and equipment link is under construction, check back).
Please visit our Gallery for examples of members’ work and recognition.
Membership in the BWG is open to anyone interested in weaving, spinning and other fiber arts. The Guild offers in-person weaving classes for beginning weavers twice a year, check our event list for upcoming classes.
Please consider becoming a member of the BWG and connecting with a talented and supportive community of fiber artists.
