We spread the love of fiber arts to our community
through the Outreach projects.
The Bozeman Weavers Guild is a 503c non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and teaching others about fiber arts.
Guild Outreach
The Bozeman Weavers Guild is committed to bringing the joy of weaving and all things “Fiber Arts” to our community.
Outreach opportunities are presented throughout the year at BWG meetings and in the guild’s “Backbeam” member newsletter. In the past, guild members have come together to volunteer, demonstrate, lead fiber craft activities, and provide instruction to those young and old at the Bozeman Public Library, Bozeman Public Schools, Museum of the Rockies,Gallatin Rest Home, Bozeman Deaconess Hospital and the Random Acts of Silliness project- just to name a few.

Why Get Involved?
- BWG members engage in outreach activities to experience personal and social growth.
- Engaging in BWG outreach will provide you with a chance to gain skills, improve physical and mental health and make stronger community connections.
- Volunteering at BWG outreach events allows members to contribute to the important cause of teaching our community about the fiber art that we love, meet new people, gain a sense of purpose, and make a positive difference in the world around them.
BWG Beginners’ Weaving Class
Students learned to weave starting with using a warping board, sleying the reed, threading the heddles, tying-up to the warp beam, beaming the warm and tie-up to the cloth beam. Students were excited to begin weaving their projects.
Whittier Art Fest
During the 4 weeks of ART FEST the entire school’s students and teachers participate in a weekly variety of creative art classes taught by artists in and around the Bozeman community.
